6.3. Starting ricci
In order to create and distribute cluster configuration files on the nodes of the cluster, the ricci service must be running on each node. Before starting ricci, you should ensure that you have configured your system as follows:
- The IP ports on your cluster nodes should be enabled for ricci. For information on enabling IP ports on cluster nodes, see Section 3.3.1, “Enabling IP Ports on Cluster Nodes”.
- The ricci service is installed on all nodes in the cluster and assigned a ricci password, as described in Section 3.13, “Considerations for
ricci”.
After ricci has been installed and configured on each node, start the ricci service on each node:
# service ricci start
Starting ricci: [ OK ]
