RHBA-2022:1237 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation 4.9.5 Bug Fix Update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
Updated images that fix several bugs are now available for Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation 4.9.5 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 from Red Hat Container Registry.
Description
Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation is software-defined storage integrated with and optimized for the Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation. Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation is a highly scalable, production-grade persistent storage for stateful applications running in the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. In addition to persistent storage, Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation provisions a multicloud data management service with an S3 compatible API.
Bug fix(es):
- Previously, when the Microsoft Azure resource group was configured with a policy to enforce secure transfer for storage accounts, the installation of Multicloud Object Gateway (MCG) was stuck on the creation of the default backing store. This was because the MCG failed to create a storage account for the default backing store.
With this update, a flag is added to allow HTTPS traffic only when you create a storage account. Now, you can install the MCG only in an environment that enforces secure transfer. (BZ#2029749)
- Previously, the Multicloud Object Gateway (MCG) endpoint crashed as there was a failure during upload using the chunked upload header due to incorrect handling of the chunked upload header.
With this update, the handling of the chunked upload header is fixed, and the MCG endpoint does not crash while you upload using the chunked upload header. (BZ#2051829)
- Previously, there was a failure in the `PutObjectRequest` class. Java AWK Software Development Kit (SDK) sends a chunked upload header and incorrect handling would cause a failure during upload using this header.
With this update, the handling of the chunked upload header is fixed, and there is no failure when you upload using the chunked upload header. (BZ#2064304)
All users of Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation are advised to upgrade to these updated images, which provide these bug fixes.
