Manage your Red Hat subscriptions and systems
Subscription and system management
There are various subscription and system management services included in a Red Hat subscription. These services, located on Red Hat Hybrid Cloud Console, can help you manage the account-level subscriptions in your inventory, show you a historical look at your subscription usage, track remaining subscription capacity, and in some instances, help you understand costs and optimize resources.
The Red Hat managed services that provide these functions are:
Red Hat subscription management
Select functions for subscription management that were previously on the Red Hat Customer Portal are now available in the Red Hat Hybrid Cloud Console. These functions include subscription inventory, activation keys, and manifests for a connected Red Hat Satellite Server.
The subscriptions service
A subscription reporting service in the Hybrid Cloud Console that provides a visual representation of the subscription usage across the constituent parts of your hybrid infrastructure, including physical and virtual technology deployments; on-premise and cloud environments; and cluster, instance, and workload use cases for select Red Hat product portfolios.
Red Hat Insights
A SaaS application that uses predictive analytics, remediation capabilities, and deep domain expertise to simplify complex operational tasks. These tasks include identifying security and performance risks, tracking licenses, and managing costs.
Red Hat Satellite (for Red Hat Enterprise Linux customers; requires additional subscription)
A systems management solution to deploy, scale, and manage Red Hat infrastructure across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.

Red Hat Insights
Red Hat® Insights is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) application included with almost every subscription to Red Hat Enterprise Linux®, Red Hat OpenShift®, and Red Hat Ansible® Automation Platform.
Insights can automatically discover relevant issues, recommend tailored, proactive, next actions, and even automate tasks. Using Red Hat Insights, you can benefit from the experience and technical knowledge of Red Hat Certified Engineers, making it easier to identify, prioritize and resolve problems before business operations are affected.
To provide this service, small pieces of system metadata are sent to the Red Hat Insights service for processing and analysis, during which time measures are taken to help reduce risk. In fact, Insights has received FedRAMP High Agency Authority to Operate (ATO), indicating that Insights has successfully undergone rigorous audits of critical security controls to highly-sensitive data in cloud computing environments.
The process of connecting to Insights varies by product. Please refer to the Red Hat Insights documentation to learn more.
