Nautilus doesn't automatically refresh for NFS mounts in RHEL6.

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.6
  • gvfs-1.4.3-18.el6.x86_64

Issue

  • For NFS mounted directories, Nautilus doesn't automatically update the contents of a directory window when the contents of that directory change.
  • Pressing F5 to refresh the window does successfully update the contents, but that's not a very workable solution.

Steps to Reproduce:

  • Mount home directory from NFS server.
  • Open a nautilus window and navigate to a folder in the home directory.
  • In a terminal create a file in the directory viewed by nautilus and touch a new file there.
