Updated images that fix several bugs are now available for Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation 4.13.8 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 from Red Hat Container Registry.

Description

Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation is software-defined storage integrated with and optimized for the Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation. Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation is a highly scalable, production-grade persistent storage for stateful applications running in the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. In addition to persistent storage, Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation provisions a multi-cloud data management service with an S3-compatible API.

• Previously, metrics endpoint of the ocs-metrics-exporter used to be unresponsive as persistent volume resync by ocs-metrics-exporter was blocked definitely.

With this fix, the blocking operations from persistent volume resync in ocs-metrics-exporter is removed and the metrics endopoint is responsive. Also, the TargetDown alert for ocs-metrics-exporter no longer appears. (BZ#2260315)

• When OpenShift Data Foundation is upgraded from version 4.12 to 4.13, the disaster recovery placement control (DRPC) might have had incorrect value cached in `status.preferredDecision.ClusterNamespace`.

With this fix, the DRPC no longer has incorrect value cached in `status.preferredDecision.ClusterNamespace`. (BZ#2215442)

• Previously, OpenShift Data Foundation Disaster Recovery solution protected persistent volume claim (PVC) data in addition to the persistent volume data. A failover or a relocate was blocked for workloads that existed prior to the upgrade as they did not have the PVC data backed up.

With this fix, the application failover is successful after the upgrade. (BZ#2215462)

All users of Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation are advised to upgrade to
these updated images, which provide these bug fixes.
