Updated atomic-openshift-utils and openshift-ansible packages are now available that fix a bug.

Description

OpenShift Enterprise by Red Hat is the company's cloud computing Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solution designed for on-premise or private cloud deployments.

This update fixes the following bug:

• Docker 1.9 was shipped for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7 Server and RHEL Atomic Host 7.2.3, however it is not supported with OpenShift Enterprise (OSE) 3.0 or 3.1 as the combination has proven to have performance issues. To prevent upgrading from the supported Docker 1.8.2 on OSE 3.0 or 3.1, the docker-1.9 package has conflicts with OSE 3.0 and 3.1 packages. This bug fix updates the installation utility and related Ansible playbooks to ensure the docker-1.8.2 package is installed during OSE 3.0 and 3.1 installations, allowing the playbooks to complete successfully. All OpenShift Enterprise 3 users are advised to upgrade to these updated packages.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata relevant to your system have been applied.

To apply this update, run the following on all hosts where you intend to initiate Ansible-based installation or upgrade procedures:

# yum update atomic-openshift-utils
