Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 Extended Life Cycle Support Long-Life Add-On

Extended Life Cycle Support Long-Life Add-On is an optional Add-On subscription for certain Red Hat Enterprise Linux subscriptions. The ELS Long-Life Add-On is available during the Extended Life Phase for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.

Starting with Red Hat Enterprise Linux Version 6 additional Long-Life Terms are available for the Extended Life-Cycle (ELS) Add-On. These are available as Terms providing Support as described in the Details section below to the end of the calendar year.

Available Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 Extended Life Cycle Support Long-Life Add-On and Dates

  • Extended Life Cycle Support Long-Life Add-On - Term 2 (Begins July 1st 2024 - Ends December 31st 2024)
  • Extended Life Cycle Support Long-Life Add-On - Term 3 (Begins January 1st 2025 - Ends December 31st 2025)
  • Extended Life Cycle Support Long-Life Add-On - Term 4 (Begins January 1st 2026 - Ends December 31st 2026)

Details:

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 ELS and Extensions deliver certain Red Hat defined Critical and Important security fixes and selected (at Red Hat discretion) urgent priority bug fixes and troubleshooting for the last minor release.

For Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, the ELS Long-Life Add-On covers the IBM z Systems and the x86 architecture, both 32-bit and 64-bit variants. Add-Ons are not covered by ELS Long-Life.

Note: Only Standard or Premium subscriptions to RHEL Server are eligible for ELS Long-Life Support. RHEL Desktop or RHEL Workstation subscriptions are not eligible for ELS Long-Life.
