How to build a kjar from Maven command for BRMS/BPM Suite 6?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • When tried to build a kjar from Maven command the following error is reported.
Unknown packaging: kjar

How to fix this issue and build the kjar from Maven command ?

  • When tried to build a project, which was obtained by cloning business-central git repository following error is reported:
package org.kie.api.definition.type does not exist
  • Users are able to build the maven KJAR from within KIE Workbench or Business Central just fine but unable to build it from an IDE like Eclipse or JBDS even though it's the same project. Building the KJAR outside Business Central helps users to use this approach as part of automated build processes. Are there some documented steps to do this?
