Booting RHEL 5.6 system hangs with "Simple Boot Flag at 0x36 set to 0x80" message on VMWare ESX-3.5
Issue
- RHEL 5.6 system hangs during boot after a daily restart.
- Last message on screen was :
Simple Boot Flag at 0x36 set to 0x80
fyi: This server is running as a VM in VMware ESX 3.5 - Reference on VMWare's community site :
http://communities.vmware.com/thread/307466 - This issue looks resemble to the BugZilla (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=692966).
