Setting up node identifier for JTA transactions in JBoss EAP

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Out of the box JBoss Application server is using default value for node identifier. This value is all right if only a single instance of JBoss is running. If there are multiple EAP instances running, then the value of the node identifier has to be changed.

  • In EAP 5, in the Arjuna Tx-Manager (in file \conf\jbossts-properties.xml): we could set a value for nodeIdentifier as
    <property name="com.arjuna.ats.arjuna.xa.nodeIdentifier" value="nodeRepo1"/> .

  • How to set node identifier in EAP 6 and EAP 7

Environment

  • Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP)
    • 6
    • 7
