Using mod_cluster when I start a node I get the error MEM: Can't update or insert node/context/host alias

Issue

  • We have created a new node and done required changes that we need to configure Jboss node with mod_cluster. Now when I am starting that particular node I am getting following errors continuously:
ERROR [org.jboss.modcluster.mcmp.impl.DefaultMCMPHandler (ContainerBackgroundProcessor[StandardEngine[jboss.web]]) Error [MEM: MEM: Can't update or insert node: {4}] sending command CONFIG to proxy 10.10.10.10:8080, configuration will be reset
  • JBoss server.log is continually logging some of the following errors:
ERROR [org.jboss.modcluster] (ContainerBackgroundProcessor[StandardEngine[jboss.web]]) MODCLUSTER000042: Error MEM sending ENABLE-APP command dns/x.x.x.x:7777, configuration will be reset: MEM: Can't update or insert host alias : 167
ERROR [org.jboss.modcluster] (ContainerBackgroundProcessor[StandardEngine[jboss.web]]) MODCLUSTER000042: Error MEM sending ENABLE-APP command to 10.10.10.10:8080, configuration will be reset: MEM: Can't update or insert context
  • Some of the following errors observed in Apache httpd error_log :
[warn] manager_handler CONFIG error: MEM: Can't update or insert node
[warn] manager_handler ENABLE-APP error: MEM: Can't update or insert host alias
[warn] manager_handler ENABLE-APP error: MEM: Can't update or insert context
