showmount fails with clnt_create: RPC: Program not registered when executed from a RHEL6 NFS client communicating with a NetApp filer
Issue
- When issuing the
showmountcommand from an NFS client the following error message is observed:
clnt_create: RPC: Program not registered
Environment
- NFS client: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4
- NFS server: NetApp filer
