  • How to reset Subscription Asset Manager Administrator password ?
  • Need to change username and password for SAM?

Resolution

  • At the time of Subscription Asset Manager (SAM) a default user with username admin and the password admin is created.
  • To reset those values to something more secure below mentioned command can be used:
# katello-configure --deployment=sam --user-name=samadmin --user-pass=secret --user-email=admin@example.com
  • The other method would be to go to SAM web-ui login page, click on the Password link in "Forgot Username or Password?".
