ReaR/UEFI: USB boot fails when selecting Grub menu entry with "error: ../../grub-core/script/function.c:119:can't find command `XXX`" message

Issue

  • Trying to boot a USB key used to store the ReaR backup, in UEFI mode, the following error messages are seen when booting the Recovery environment

    error: ../../grub-core/script/function.c:119:can't find command `echo'.
    error: ../../grub-core/script/function.c:119:can't find command `linux'.
    error: ../../grub-core/script/function.c:119:can't find command `echo'.
    error: ../../grub-core/script/function.c:119:can't find command `initrd'.
