Use a DHCP client ID to assign an IP address in Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

In an OpenShift node configured with a network bond and DHCP, the bond may use a MAC address from any bond member. The DHCP client sends this MAC address to the DHCP server, but since it’s different from what is configured, the DHCP server does not assign an IP address to the OpenShift node.
