169.254.0.0/16 doesn't appear in the routing table, even when the parameter NOZEROCONF hasn't been added to /etc/sysconfig/network

Issue

  • On a fresh RHEL7 install, there's no ip route to 169.254.0.0/16.
  • No NOZEROCONF parameter exists in /etc/sysconfig/network.
  • Is NOZEROCONF parameter still used?
