qpid client reconnect fails with "Channel exception: session-busy: Session already attached" error

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Having a connection to qpid broker with reconnect:True to automatically reconnect after a connection failure
  • Simulating a short network outage with session reconnection option set on
  • The client program gets disconnected from the broker but new connection is rejected - see error message in Diagnostic steps

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise MRG Messaging (any version)
  • Red Hat Satellite or Proxy 6
