Unable to discover the newly assigned LUNs using SCSI bus re-scan

Issue

• New LUNs do not appear even after SCSI bus re-scan using following commands:

  Raw

  $ rescan-scsi-bus.sh
  $ for i in $(ls /sys/class/scsi_host) ; do echo "- - -" > /sys/class/scsi_host/$i/scan ; done
  

  We even tried LIP reset using following command, but the new LUNs do not appear until reboot:

  Raw

  $ echo 1 > /sys/class/fc_host/host2/issue_lip
