Kernel panics after upgrading system from RHEL6.3 to RHEL6.4 with error message `No root device "block:/dev/mapper/rootvg-root_lv" found`
Issue
- Upgraded RHEL6.3 to 6.4 and latest kernel installed was
2.6.32-358.18.1.el6.x86_64. - System is not bootable with
kernel-2.6.32-358.18.1.el6.x86_64. It shows the following messages before panic.
