Unable to mount VMware vSphere persistent volumes or unable to create PVC from dynamic disk after change in VM's UUID

Issue

  • Unable to mount VMware vSphere persistent volumes as it is not able to find VM's by UUID
    because of the change in UUID.
  • After changes in VM's UUID, unable to create PVC using dynamic disk. Getting error as :
Error: "AttachVolume.Attach failed for volume \"new-registry-claim\"
(UniqueName: \"kubernetes.io/vsphere-volume/[RP-2019-S064_DR_CP_log] kubevols/kubernetes-dynamic-pvc-e6f23483-8d86-11e9-a27c-0050509f1dr0.vmdk\")
from node \"xxxxxxx\" : No VM found"
