"An Authentication error occurred" when integrating OpenShift to use RH-SSO for users authentication

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • When login to OpenShift console, user is redirected to RH-SSO login page. After providing correct username and password, the user is redirected again to OpenShift but the browser displays An Authentication error occurred message. In the OpenShift logs, we see this:

I0415 10:08:33.255637 1 handler.go:175] Error getting access token: Post https://10.10.10.10:8443/auth/realms/OpenShift/protocol/openid-connect/token: x509: cannot validate certificate for 10.10.10.10 because it doesn't contain any IP SANs
