"ipa group-add-member" fails when using "EXAMPLE\group name", with error "trusted domain object not found"

Issue

  • After adding the IPA-AD trust, id command doesn't return any user information when executed on the IPA server. Thus AD user authentication doesn't work.

  • The ipa group-add-member command returns an error trusted domain object not found

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.
  • Microsoft Active Directory 2018.
