How can I set file permissions on files uploaded using sftp on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5/6/7?
Issue
- How can I configure openssh-server to use permission 664 for ftp over ssh?
- We need users to upload files w/ permissions of 664. If the permission of the file on their client is 0700; then when they upload using sftp, the permissions will be 0700.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
- Openssh package
- Using sftp for file uploads
