Errors verifying JCE provider jar when packaging the JCE provider jar in application in EAP 6 or 7

Issue

  • When including a JCE provider jar, like Bouncy Castle, in the application war get the following errors:

    java.security.NoSuchProviderException: JCE cannot authenticate the provider BC
java.lang.SecurityException: Cannot verify jar:vfs:/C:/software/jboss-EAP-6.4.0/content/example.war/WEB-INF/lib/bcprov-jdk15on-1.52.jar!/
java.util.zip.ZipException: zip file is empty
