Issue

  • Shell commands are failing with the following types of errors:
  # ps 
  ps: error while loading shared libraries: libproc-3.2.3.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory 
  • rpm commands also fail with the following error:
 # rpm -q procps  
 rpm: error while loading shared libraries: librpm-4.3.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory  
 # rpm -V procps  
 rpm: error while loading shared libraries: librpm-4.3.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
