Unable to load module "dccp_diag" on RHEL

Issue

  • Unable to load the module dccp_diag, the following messages are seen in our logs and dccp_diag is not being loaded.

    modprobe: FATAL: Error inserting dccp_diag (/lib/modules/2.6.32-504.12.2.el6.x86_64/kernel/net/dccp/dccp_diag.ko): Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)
kernel: dccp_diag: Unknown symbol dccp_hashinfo
  • The message kernel: dccp_diag: Unknown symbol dccp_hashinfo is continually being logged on our systems, how can we prevent this.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (Any version)
  • dccp_diag module
