How to ensure a RHEL 7 systemd unit waits for chronyd or ntpd to sync before starting
Issue
- We have a service that starts at boot
We need to ensure it doesn't start until the system clock has been synchronized via ntp
Some RHEL7 machines are using ntpd; some chronyd
How do we do this? Furthermore, is it better to use ntpd or chronyd?
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
