DNS configuration for OpenShift Enterprise v3

Issue

• I'm installing OpenShift 3.0 and I manually specified the host names and their IP addresses on /etc/hosts on all the systems. Systems can "ping" each other using their hostnames (as specified in /etc/hosts).

• Is this enough to meet the requirements to install OpenShift V3?

• Problems when Deploying a Docker Registry. Below error is seen :

couldn't get deployment default/docker-registry-1: Get https://targaryen.openshift.com:8443/api/v1/namespaces/default/replicationcontrollers/docker-registry-1: dial tcp: lookup master.example.com: no such host
