Issue

  • Apache httpd server failed to start in RHEL7 with following error.
httpd: Syntax error on line 235 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load modules/mod_authn_alias.so into server: /etc/httpd/modules/mod_authn_alias.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
  • Cannot load modules/mod_authn_alias.so in httpd.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7.x
  • Apache httpd 2.4.6
