Sound not working on MotherBoard with Realtek ALC887 Audio hardware.
Issue
- Sound doesn't work on new workstation with Asus H97M-E motherboard and Realtek ALC887 on-board Audio hardware.
- Booting with recent kernel (3.19.0) from upstream helps to get sound working.
- Problem is specific to redhat kernel (3.10.0).
