[Satellite 6] Removing a repository does not delete its content in /var/lib/pulp

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • disabling some (enabled) repositories in Satellite 6
  • /var/lib/pulp holding the repositories content does not shrink adequately
  • Why pulp holds packages for disabled repositories, wasting disk space?
  • Is there any way to know which all pulp repositories are being removed by command foreman-rake katello:delete_orphaned_content RAILS_ENV=production >/dev/null ?

Environment

  • Red Hat Satellite or Proxy 6
