RHEV Storage domain is marked as offline and will not activate, how to restore or recover?

Issue

  • Storage domain is offline. Deeper dive reveals that one of the LUNs is expected by RHEV isn't showing up in lvm commands
  • pvscan does not show a physical volume for a device that should be part of a volume group for a RHEV storage domain
  • RHEV Storage domain was overwritten by partition table. Can vgcfgrestore be used to recover?
