CVE-2026-90779
Description
A flaw was found in SIPp. A malicious Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) server can exploit this by sending a specially crafted SIP authentication challenge with oversized algorithm parameters. This can lead to a stack buffer overflow in the createAuthHeader() function, causing the client process to crash and resulting in a denial of service.

Mitigation
Since this vulnerability requires SIPp to connect to a malicious SIP server, the primary mitigation is to restrict SIPp usage to trusted network environments. Avoid connecting SIPp instances to untrusted or publicly accessible SIP servers.
