CVE-2026-80538
Description
A flaw was found in the XFS filesystem within the Linux kernel. The xfs_rtginode_ensure() function incorrectly handles errors returned by xfs_rtginode_load(), treating I/O, allocation, or corruption errors as successful operations. This oversight can result in the realtime group inode remaining unset, causing the growfs utility to proceed with an incomplete or corrupted inode. The primary consequence is potential data corruption or system instability during filesystem operations.
