CVE-2026-78938
Description
A flaw was found in the V8 JavaScript engine used in Chromium-based browsers. This type confusion vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute unauthorized code within the browser's security sandbox by tricking a user into visiting a specially crafted web page. This could lead to a compromise of the user's system.

When a memory buffer is accessed using the wrong type, it could read or write memory out of the bounds of the buffer, if the allocated buffer is smaller than the type that the code is attempting to access, leading to a crash and possibly code execution.
