CVE-2026-65976
Description
A flaw was found in Deskflow, a keyboard and mouse sharing application. A connected peer can send repeated data messages to the clipboard receiver, causing it to accumulate data beyond its configured size limit. This excessive data accumulation can lead to the exhaustion of receiver memory, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) for the application.

Mitigation
To mitigate this issue, restrict Deskflow connections to only trusted peers. If Deskflow is not required, consider uninstalling the application to eliminate the attack surface. Users should avoid connecting to untrusted or unknown Deskflow instances.
Understanding the Weakness (CWE)
Availability
Technical Impact: DoS: Resource Consumption (CPU); DoS: Resource Consumption (Memory); DoS: Resource Consumption (Other)
When allocating resources without limits, an attacker could prevent other systems, applications, or processes from accessing the same type of resource. It can be easy for an attacker to consume many resources by rapidly making many requests or causing larger resources to be used than is needed.
