CVE-2026-48099
Description
A flaw was found in WsgiDAV, a WebDAV server. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted WebDAV request path containing encoded parent-directory segments. This could allow the attacker to escape the configured filesystem share root, potentially leading to unauthorized access to sensitive files or directories outside the intended scope.
Statement
Red Hat products do not ship WsgiDAV. The component is present only in the community python-wsgidav packages for Fedora and EPEL, both of which ship version 4.3.5 — at or above the upstream fixed release 4.3.4 (the vulnerable range is all versions up to and including 4.3.3). The vulnerable code path is therefore not present in any Red Hat-shipped build, and no Red Hat product is affected by this flaw.
Mitigation
No mitigation is required. Red Hat products are not affected by this vulnerability.

Technical Impact: DoS: Crash, Exit, or Restart
The attacker may be able to overwrite, delete, or corrupt unexpected critical files such as programs, libraries, or important data. This may prevent the product from working at all and in the case of protection mechanisms such as authentication, it has the potential to lock out product users.
