CVE-2026-43352
Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's I3C (Improved Inter-Integrated Circuit) Host Controller Interface (HCI) driver. Incorrect handling of DMA (Direct Memory Access) ring aborts can lead to the unintentional clearing of RING_CTRL_ENABLE. This action resets hardware ring pointers and disrupts the controller's state, potentially causing system instability or a denial of service.
Statement
Red Hat acknowledges the upstream Linux kernel correction for «i3c» as described in COMMENT_ZERO. Fixes are delivered through standard kernel errata for supported products. Operational exposure depends on whether this subsystem or driver is active in your configuration.
