CVE-2026-43052

Description

A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's mac80211 wireless stack. For NL80211_TDLS_ENABLE_LINK, the driver verified that a station exists but not that it was an actual TDLS peer, so TDLS-specific side effects could run for ordinary stations and disturb channel context and HT protection before the operation ultimately failed. Upstream adds an early sta->sta.tdls check so only true TDLS peers proceed.

Statement

Red Hat acknowledges the mac80211 fix: NL80211_TDLS_ENABLE_LINK must verify the station is a TDLS peer before running setup side effects. Otherwise channel context and HT protection could be altered for non-TDLS stations before the operation fails.
