CVE-2026-113121
Description
A flaw was found in the ContextMenu component of Chromium on Android. This memory corruption vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code within the browser's restricted environment (sandbox). To exploit the flaw, the attacker must persuade a user to visit a specially crafted HTML page.
Statement
This vulnerability is rated as an Important severity impact because unauthenticated remote attackers could achieve arbitrary code execution within the browser sandbox, which presents significant risk despite requiring user interaction. Red Hat Enterprise Linux does not include the Chromium browser in supported base channels, with builds provided solely through community channels such as EPEL. Furthermore, upstream reports indicate the affected logic is specific to Android context menu handling, greatly minimizing direct risk on enterprise Linux desktop environments.
Understanding the Weakness (CWE)
Integrity
Technical Impact: Modify Memory; Execute Unauthorized Code or Commands
Write operations could cause memory corruption. In some cases, an adversary can modify control data such as return addresses in order to execute unexpected code.
Availability
Technical Impact: DoS: Crash, Exit, or Restart
Attempting to access out-of-range, invalid, or unauthorized memory could cause the product to crash.
Other
Technical Impact: Unexpected State
Subsequent write operations can produce undefined or unexpected results.
