CVE-2025-40350
Description
A flaw was identified in the mlx5e network driver in the Linux kernel relating to handling of multi-buffer XDP operations. The driver historically assumed that the layout of the XDP bufferremained unchanged by XDP programs. When these programs modify the buffer layout, the driver may construct a socket bufferincorrectly,ignoring linear data or mis-pulling fragments,which can lead to an invalid skb or trigger a BUG_ON() in the kernel.
Mitigation
Mitigation for this issue is either not available or the currently available options don't meet the Red Hat Product Security criteria comprising ease of use and deployment, applicability to widespread installation base or stability.
