CVE-2025-38126
Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's stmmac network driver. This vulnerability occurs when the clk_ptp_rate value is zero during the configuration of Precision Time Protocol (PTP) timestamping, leading to a division-by-zero error. A local attacker with low privileges could exploit this condition by bringing up a network interface, causing a kernel panic and resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) for the system.
