CVE-2024-10039

Description

A vulnerability was found in Keycloak. Deployments of Keycloak with a reverse proxy not using pass-through termination of TLS, with mTLS enabled, are affected. This issue may allow an attacker on the local network to authenticate as any user or client that leverages mTLS as the authentication mechanism.

Statement

Red Hat Enterprise Application Platform does not ship the Keycloak server code and thus is not affected by this vulnerability.

When a certificate is invalid or malicious, it might allow an attacker to spoof a trusted entity by interfering in the communication path between the host and client. The product might connect to a malicious host while believing it is a trusted host, or the product might be deceived into accepting spoofed data that appears to originate from a trusted host.
