Description

A hung task warning issue was found in the RCU scaling test module. When the holdoff parameter exceeds hung_task_timeout_secs, the kernel logs a hung task warning for the rcu_scale_writer kthread.

Statement

This affects only the rcuscale test module, which is not loaded in production systems. The warning occurs only with specific module parameters during RCU performance testing and does not impact normal kernel operation.

Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) Score Details

Info alert:Important note

CVSS scores for open source components depend on vendor-specific factors (e.g. version or build chain). Therefore, Red Hat's score and impact rating can be different from NVD and other vendors. Red Hat remains the authoritative CVE Naming Authority (CNA) source for its products and services (see Red Hat classifications).
