CVE-2022-50313
Description
From CVE.org
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: erofs: fix order >= MAX_ORDER warning due to crafted negative i_size As syzbot reported [1], the root cause is that i_size field is a signed type, and negative i_size is also less than EROFS_BLKSIZ. As a consequence, it's handled as fast symlink unexpectedly. Let's fall back to the generic path to deal with such unusual i_size. Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) Score Details
Info alert:Important note
CVSS scores for open source components depend on vendor-specific factors (e.g. version or build chain). Therefore, Red Hat's score and impact rating can be different from NVD and other vendors. Red Hat remains the authoritative CVE Naming Authority (CNA) source for its products and services (see Red Hat classifications).

Technical Impact: Varies by Context; DoS: Resource Consumption (CPU); Modify Memory; Read Memory
When the quantity is not properly validated, then attackers can specify malicious quantities to cause excessive resource allocation, trigger unexpected failures, enable buffer overflows, etc.
