Statement

This vulnerability is rated as Moderate impact for Red Hat Enterprise Linux because triggering the issue requires an active NFS client connection over an RDMA fabric to a malicious or rogue storage server. RDMA transport for NFS is not used by default and requires specialized networking hardware and non-standard configuration. While an exploit results in a client kernel panic and system denial of service, it does not directly facilitate privilege escalation or compromise data confidentiality.

Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) Score Details

Info alert:Important note

CVSS scores for open source components depend on vendor-specific factors (e.g. version or build chain). Therefore, Red Hat's score and impact rating can be different from NVD and other vendors. Red Hat remains the authoritative CVE Naming Authority (CNA) source for its products and services (see Red Hat classifications).
