CVE-2022-35256
Description
A vulnerability was found in NodeJS due to improper validation of HTTP requests. The llhttp parser in the HTTP module in Node.js does not correctly handle header fields that are not terminated with CLRF. This issue may result in HTTP Request Smuggling. This flaw allows a remote attacker to send a specially crafted HTTP request to the server and smuggle arbitrary HTTP headers.

This has low impact to confidentiality and integrity, as an attacker could send a specially-crafted request that makes it fail to correctly parse and validate headers by the llhttp parser in the http module, allow an attacker to poison the web cache, and conduct XSS attacks. So, there will be some impact to Integrity, but data modification does not have a direct, serious impact on the impacted component. Also, If attacker succeed in performing XSS then there is some loss of confidentiality. But the attacker does not know what information could be obtained, this means the access to any information is limited. Thus, putting C and I as Low.
Also, there is no harm to Availability. Thus A:N.

An attacker could create HTTP messages to exploit a number of weaknesses including 1) the message can trick the web server to associate a URL with another URL's webpage and caching the contents of the webpage (web cache poisoning attack), 2) the message can be structured to bypass the firewall protection mechanisms and gain unauthorized access to a web application, and 3) the message can invoke a script or a page that returns client credentials (similar to a Cross Site Scripting attack).
