CVE-2020-27670
Description
A flaw was found in Xen in the AMD IOMMU page table updates. This flaw allows a malicious guest to cause a denial of service, host data corruption, or potential privilege escalation. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to confidentiality, integrity, as well as system availability.
Statement
This flaw has been rated as having a security impact of Moderate, and is not currently planned to be addressed in future updates of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 is now in the Extended Life Phase of the support and maintenance life cycle. Mitigation
Avoid passing through physical devices to untrusted guests.
