CVE-2018-19622
Description
A vulnerability in MMSE dissector allows Wireshark to loop infinitely when parsing a specially crafted pcap file. Remote attacker could cause a denial of service to Wireshark by injecting malicious packets into the network that are automatically processed.
Statement
This issue affects the versions of wireshark as shipped with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, 6, and 7.
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 is now in Extended Life Phase of the support and maintenance life cycle. This issue is not currently planned to be addressed in future updates.
