CVE-2015-0248
Description
An assertion failure flaw was found in the way the SVN server processed certain requests with dynamically evaluated revision numbers. A remote attacker could use this flaw to cause the SVN server (both svnserve and httpd with the mod_dav_svn module) to crash.
Statement
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 is now in Production 3 Phase of the support and maintenance life cycle. This has been rated as having Moderate security impact and is not currently planned to be addressed in future updates. An attacker that can trigger an assert statement can still lead to a denial of service if the relevant code can be triggered by an attacker, and if the scope of the assert() extends beyond the attacker's own session.
